Finnish studio Frozenbyte debuted a new gameplay trailer for Trine 2, the sequel to last year's well-received puzzle-platformer, showing the Thief, Wizard, and Knight back in action. As covered previously, the Atlus-published PC/PSN/XBLA game will feature three-player co-op for both local and online this time around, when it releases next spring.
The developer also discussed some of the new powers that Trine 2's heroes will have:
"All three characters have some new abilities, and some old abilities are present in new ways. Some of these come from feedback we've received, such as the Wizard's ability to maintain kinetic energy with levitated objects, so for example, you can actually hurl a box towards an enemy. There're a few abilities, like the Thief's "time slow" ability, that we had to leave out from the original game, so that's going to be introduced in Trine 2. The Knight is also getting his share of much-needed attention, and his new ability to throw the hammer will surely add a nice touch to battling enemies and solving puzzles."
You can read more about Trine 2 -- such as details about the co-op design, the chances of bringing the series to a handheld, and more -- in Frozenbyte's interview with 1UP.
